COMMUNITY PROGRAMME
As an organisation our ethos is to put time, effort and value back into the communities we work in.
We have coaches running sessions for different age groups and different learning abilities on an adhoc basis across Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and London
As part of our community programme we attend local fetes and events and work with local charities and companies to support them and actively encourage children into sport. If this is something you feel your school, preschool, nursery, charity or company would benefit from then please get in touch.
About our Leaders
Our Coaches are all passionate about Rugby, and encouraging children into Rugby from an Early Age.
We have 1 lead and at least 1 junior at every venue and we require all Lead Coaches to hold an upto date DBS Check (previously CRB check). Each Coach not only receives (and has to pass) our Little Scrummers Rugby Training, they also hold their own coaching qualifications. The minimum coaching qualification is the RFU ‘Rugby Ready’ course, but most Lead Coaches are Level 2 RFU Coaches who also coach for their local Clubs and/or also play themselves.
Having spent many years developing our programme we are passionate about how we deliver the classes and who we work with.
Our Concept
As a business we are passionate about delivering a fun, rich & exciting programme of rugby based games for Children 18months – 7yrs old.
We are insured to take children from 18months, but feel it is very important not to go by age, but by ability and steadiness on their feet. Starting a child too early and when they are not ready will only impede their love of sport and the game of rugby.
Fun and Excitement are central to our classes!
We like to encourage families to attend our sessions, and believe that rugby is a family sport and can be enjoyed by everyone, from playing, to coaching to watching from the sidelines. Grandparents love to come along and watch their grandchildren enjoy the classes.
Our classes provide somewhere where the coaches are passionate about rugby, believe in the family values of rugby and are committed to encouraging children to find their passion.

If you would like to Join Little Scrummers Rugby, first your child will have to come for a FREE trial which can be arranged here. Once your child has completed their free trial, you will be invited to join automatically a few days later
