We have found that children closer to 2 years old who are steadier on their feet get more from the classes. If you feel your child is ready why not bring them along for a Free Trial!

The LSR membership is a one off fee and includes so much extra Scrumtastic Fun!

Firstly you are provided with a bespoke Little Scrummers Rugby kit for your child (inc socks). This is payable upon joining and lasts as long as you continue to come to the classes. Please note the socks come in one size which is uk 9-12.

The payment made is your classes weekly fee x the number of weeks left in that term. If you are a NEW MEMBER then your £45 membership fee is added. There are NO handling charges or service fees. Please note the fees are payable termly, NOT WEEKLY. If you have any difficulty paying, please do get in touch.

All of our Coaches are thoroughly trained and vetted. They all undergo our Little Scrummers Rugby training programme as a minimum. Lead coaches are all qualified in the RFU Level One Rugby Coaching Certificate at the very least with far more experienced, some are chairman of their rugby club, others also coach premiership teams! All Lead Coaches hold a First Aid Qualification and all are DBS checked

We like the children to experience playing on a Rugby pitch and use outdoor spaces as much as possible! From approximately March – October we use the pitches outside (where available). If the weather is bad we try to secure an indoor venue but this isn’t always guaranteed so pleased do come dressed for the weather. Details are on each venues page.

Please look at our club location page. We are adding new venues all the time so please ring or e-mail to confirm where you are looking for a class if it is currently not listed.

The sessions run for between 45-60 minutes and depend on the class age split. Please see your location page for more details.

We hold the relevant Public Liability Insurance of £5,000,000. We take our responsibility towards you/your childrens safety very seriously and risk assessments are in place for all venues & regularly updated.

The activities we run are based around non-contact/tag rugby and allow the development of age specific skills such as balance, co-ordination etc. We not only coach rugby, we teach many of the gross and fine motor skills many other sports don’t.

Yes, we can tailor a party to your needs, please take a look on our ‘parties’ page & contact us for information.

Make sure you child has a drink for the session and we would suggest a snack when they finish as they will need to replenish their energy loss!

For their free trail they should wear anything they are comfortable running around in, and that you don;t mind (possibly) getting muddy! Once you have enrolled, they can wear their Little Scrummers Rugby kit. Please ensure their footwear is suitable eg trainers – no sandals, crocs or open toed shoes. We don’t recommend children wear studded rugby boots at this age due to the safety of all children. Also bring along some warm clothing like jogging bottoms incase we go outside or it gets cold.

Yes for younger years it is crucial and a great opportunity for some parent/toddler bonding. Above this age you need to be on hand but only in terms of some sideline encouragement! Little Scrummers is family fun, so all we ask is that the parents stay with their children during the sessions, so you can see their smiling faces, and the fun and exciting time that they are having at Little Scrummers

A maximum of 22 children to 1 lead coach and 1 junior coach, this rises to a maximum of 30 to 1 lead and 2 juniors in some classes.

With the 2-4 years age group it is fairly even. As the children get older there tend to be more boys than girls.

Our classes are split by age. This varies at different venues but we follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) guide to working with each age group.

The sessions are about FUN and development of the children along with rugby coaching. What we do is try to introduce the basics of rugby to encourage your child to take this forward when they are old enough to take part in Mini Rugby and to increase their confidence. As the age groups progress we spend more time on tag rugby games and skills.

We offer all Military/Police/Fire Service personnel a 10% discount on their initial enrolment cost. This covers the term fees and annual membership (not products or further fees). Valid ID card required. Please notify Admin at time of enrolment.

We know how expensive it is to book siblings into classes and are delighted to offer a 10% discount for the second child off of their initial enrolment cost if both enrol at the same time. Please email us for details and we can apply the discount.

If you enrol a child at a later date and their sibling is still a member you will receive a 10% discount off of the new child’s membership and class fees too!

*** Only one type of discount applies per child, they cannot be used in conjunction ***
